The Gerorgian Manor Resort, Bantam AE Team caputered the win on Wednesday March 25,2009 in the sixth and deciding game at the Eddie Bush Arena. 
 
After the round robin the team found themselves in 3rd place which they would go up against Elmvale to determine the consolation champions.  The series was pretty even, with Collingwood winning the first game 5-2.  The second game Elmvale won 4-1.  Third game ended up in a Tie 1-1.  Now the series was going to be determined by the first team to  reaching 6 points. (a tie is 1 point and a win is 2 points)  Collingwood lost game fourth at home 2-1. The next game the Collingwood Bantam team needed a win in order to stay in the series. The team won 4-1 on Tuesday March 24,2009 in Elmvale.  Game 6 wasn't scheduled as no one excepted the team to go to game 6.  The final game was played Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 7:00pm in Collingwood.  Collingwood had not won a game on their home ice in this series.  With three quick goals in the first period the Collingwood Bantam AE was able to pull off the win 3-1 in order to captured the Consolation Champions Trophy. The following goals were from Jeff Thompson, Jarrad McCarl and Keean MacLean-Hill, with assists going to Connor Annett, Rory Mills, Jarrad McCarl and Tyler Willette.  The team rallied together and played awesome in this series in order to win.  Everybody should be proud in the way they played in the series.
